In The State of Mind debate series, I get a chance to debate topics outside of New York Hip-Hop with the artist I interviewed. In this episode, me and Omar i$Lord discuss the current drug culture in Hip-Hop, self-snitching, and much more.

The State of Mind: Omar i$Lord
The State of Mind is a separate series (usually conducted at the same time as the interview) that aims to ask questions more relevant to New York Hip-Hop. In this pilot episode with Omar i$Lord, I ask about his overall views of the Hip-Hop scene in New York, and about his thoughts on the newer artists bringing back visuals of the city that call back to days long gone in music videos.
State of Mind Interview Pilot: Omar i$Lord
State of mind is a New York focused interview series that aims to get perspectives from artists from all 5 boroughs about the current scene of Hip-Hop, as well as New York's place in that scene. There. Each artist session will be broken into 3 parts:
1. The interview
2. State of Mind
3. Debates on current topics in the culture.
These sessions will also be recorded in video form for viewing on YouTube (this episode was not due to technical difficulties) In this post, I interview Omar i$Lord, An artist hailing from the Bronx who delivers stories in his rhymes in a way that is familiar to fans of the culture, but with his own spin on things. Enjoy!
